Ever since it was established in 1986 as Korea Communications Promotion Corp., kt rental has been lending PCs, servers, computation systems, and other types of IT systems for more than 20 years.
The company has been contributing to the promotion IT system use by the government and public organizations. It has been actively participating in the Platform Advancement Project and IT System Investment Expansion Project by the Ministry of Information and Communication, contributing to the development of the Korean IT industry.
The company diversified its business to include medical equipment, construction equipment, and other costly equipment to provide a wide range of business solutions and resources as a general rental company.
The automobile rental business was launched in 2004 and merged with Keumho Rent-a-Car, then the country’s largest car rental company, in 2010. Currently, kt Keumho Rent-a-Car operates more than 60,000 automobiles and is the clear industry leader in terms of market share. In addition to supplying long-term rental cars to the leading companies in Korea, a network of 130 or so kt Keumho Rent-a-Car offices nationwide provides a short-term car rental service.
Product life cycle became very short nowadays due to changing consumer demands and rapid technological advancement, and kt rental is providing rental services to effectively cope with the changing market environment. kt rental will continue to respond better to changes in today’s world and analyze the market in order to develop new products and be prepared to satisfy consumer demands.
